Friday I woke up early and spend the morning with my dad. I took him to an appointment with his optometrist and had to watch his get a SHOT IN HIS EYE! Since ‘m a huge Grey’s Anatomy fan I thought I could handle it, but it was so crazy. So let’s just add ‘get a shot in the eye ball’ to my list of never want to have or have to see again. The rest of my Friday I spent in bed, seriously just laying down and doing nothing! I don’t remember the last time I did nothing so I’m not upset about it.
Saturday was a super fun day I started off teaching my dance group called Confetti at Spotlight Youth Theater. There is nothing better than getting the opportunity to do something you love and getting paid for it! The best part of the group is the fact that my wonderful mother teaches the group with me, and my baby sister is in the class. With everyone in my family being so busy I’m lucky to get to see them at least once a week. After the class I took my sister out to lunch, see the picture below. What a cutie, am I right?
After spending the afternoon with my mom and sister and headed home and got ready to see a movie with Nick! We saw neighbors which I wouldn’t recommend because it was just so inappropriate. There are some things in a movie I can over look like language, but nudity is something I don’t think ever makes a movie more artistic it’s just something Hollywood uses to get guys to movies. After the movie Nick and I headed to Kabuki Japanese restaurant for some sushi!
My weekend basically ended on Saturday, because Sunday was back to work! I did finish reading It’s Kinda a Funny Story on Sunday. It follows a high school boy dealing with the pressures of school, he ends up diognosed with clinical depression and spends a week in a ‘institution.’ I was a cute book, a true story, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone dealing with depression.
Lastly, I debated making this a full post, but I lost a dear friend on Wednesday night suddenly. Out of respect of her family I don’t want to give too many details, but it is just another reminder that life is short. I’d been putting off reconnecting with her because I thought I had so much time. Don’t miss a chance to tell your loved ones how you feel about them this week.
Well that was a really sad note to end on, but let me know what you did this weekend. Did you see any movies or read any books? Tell me how you liked them! Happy Monday!
