In honor of Emerson turning 5 months this week I thought I would finally share a four month update!
This was a big month for Emerson! He started to roll over from back to front, he’s not super interested yet and doesn’t do it that often. The DR did his weight and height check and, to no ones surprise, Emerson is in the 86th percentile for height, but only the 2nd percentile for weight. Anyone who knows his dad knows where he gets that from. He had his first time in the pool, it only lasted for a few moments and then he was over it, but I can’t wait for him to get more time in the water. He also went to his first baseballll game! He did well all things considered, he had a tiny meltdown then fell right asleep. With all the beautiful weather is AZ we had fun going on lots of family walks and even went on one with my best friend and her puppy Link! This month Emerson discovered his burp clothes and is fascinated by the different patterns and designs on them. He also loves all his Mickey Mouse toys and bath time! You can tell by the pictures that is is the month of sleeping. He’s still cosleeping because I am just too weak from the cry-it-out method. The best thing about cosleeping when you breastfeed is that you don’t even have to fully wake up in the middle of the night to feed the baby. He has fallen asleep twice in his swing for his morning nap, which is great me, and gives me time to do chores around the house. His smile has become much bigger and controlled, I’m pretty sure it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen. Lastly, he’s started to make small cooing noises and I can’t for him to be more talkative so I can hear his sweet voice!
